Daiso Is A Place To Shop

Today's lunch is at IMM, Jurong East.
Going to IMM means going to Daiso without fail.
Daiso has got such wonderful assortment of items at nothing more and nothing less than $2 each item.
Hence, choosing the right packaging is a skill.
Eg. Will you buy a large LCD protector than can trim into two pieces or get one piece of the size needed?
Recently, Daiso has been a great place to scout for raw materials for building of the Gunpla stands or BRIX stand.
Thus, here I am again picking up stuff that I need.
Check them out:

Individually packed stainless steel hand-held precision drill bits.
1.5mm for use with Hai Chew S/Steel rods.
3mm for use with malleable 'Freedom' aluminium rods.

Intended to grab all the available for future works.
However, there's just too much there.
Despite knowing that the stocks are ONE time only appearance, I got myself only 4 packs.
3 of the faint-colored and 1 of the dark-colored.
Each pack consists of 2 pieces of finely-cut, buffed, stained and well-finished tiles, not to forget that they are tough too.

Previously, I described that painful experience of cutting the stainless steel rods with the generic electrical wire stripper from Daiso and having dented jaws.
Let's hope that this tool serves a good cause.
After all, it did state that it cuts 1.5mm metal and 2.3mm copper.
I assume metal refers to stainless steel as well.
We just have to wait and see.

Last but not least,
I grabbed these malleable 'Freedom' (as named by the first four Kanji characters, 'Zi You Zi Zai') wires to experiment as stems for the new BRIX-Freedom stand.
The 'Freedom' wires come in 3mm diameter and 2.1m length.
Given its excellent matt aluminium finish, we can expect a great look on the BRIX-Freedom stand.
Watch this blog for more updates soon.

Anyway, for those who seek Daiso,
Daiso is located in level 3 of the IMM building, directly above Giant by two levels.
