Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节) - Mooncakes

Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节) is around the corner. This traditional Chinese festival also termed 'Lantern', 'Moon' or 'Harvest' festival. Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month of the Chinese calendar (usually around September in the Gregorian calendar). During this time, the moon is at its fullest, marking an ideal time to celebrate the abundance of the summer's harvest. To celebrate this day, Chinese will have the mooncake. Apart from baking your own traditional mooncakes or making your own 'snow-skin' mooncakes, how about joining the craze in buying 'Gourmet' Mooncakes? What better place to find the best 'gourmet' mooncakes but Raffles Hotel Singapore. What is the best? If you as me, Mini-Snow-Skin Mooncake with Champagne Truffle & Ganache! If you are interested to try some samples, head on down to their retail stalls at Raffles Hotel, outside LV boutique. You can also order online, see below brochure for details.
