Look what I have had! Macarons and Obolo's Dome Exotique

Macarons
by Bossacafez
A macaron is a tradtional French pastry that is made of egg whites, almond powder, icing sugar and sugar. This very sweet pastry is made as a round meringue-like domes with a flat base. Each dome is then used to sandwich a sweet filling. The attractiveness of macarons, apart from the different sweer flavours and petite bite-sizes, most importantly is the lovely colours. An assortment of six different flavours macarons in a pack of 20s, litchi, macha with azduki red bean filling, sesame noir, chocolate ganache, cafe noisette and pistache, were chosen from among the 15 regular and 8 premium flavours. According to Ber and Sze Wai's experience, these macarons are really hard to make even with the right recipe. So at prices ranging from S$1.50 to S$1.85 per piece, they are definitely worth it!
If you are a dessert lover and haven't tried macarons, stop claiming to be one!

Dome Exotique
from Obolo
Obolo has been famous for their cheesecakes. They also serve a variety of gourmet desserts, from classical New York Cheesecake to exquisite Pâtisseries such as Tarte aux Chocolat Noir. They even have macarons with also 6 different flavours! Mac and June who are the founders, took Obolo from an online pâtisserie to a retail boutique in Joo Chiat, which I had always missed their opening hours. I finally managed to visit them on Hari Raya eve, at half an hour prior closing. They did not have much left to choose from but they still have their new products, Dome Tendresse and Dome Exotique. I had the latter, which is a mango mousse dome filled with almond nougatine, mango gelee and pineapple chiboust with rum (I had no idea what was inside and took the flavors straight off Obolo's catalogue).
All I can say is, "This is one of the finest dessert creation, which I will die to try!"
