Look what I have had! Ramen & Frog Porridge

Fried Chicken/Pork Cutlet Ramen
JK Don, Shaw Tower
I was with my buddy at Shaw Towers, after getting the new Very Hot ParaRescue Jumper. Guess what we had for dinner? Ramen from JK Don.
We ordered the Fried Chicken Ramen and the Pork Cutlet Ramen. The base of the soup is the same miso base and also the ingredients such as corn cobs, shredded carrots and seaweed. Despite having a 10% service charge, the price is still rather reasonable at the end of the day.

Fried Chicken Ramen

Frog's Leg Porridge
Dunman Food Centre
S$13.50 for 2 Frogs
On Hari Raya eve, after visiting Geylang Serai, we took a short walk from Paya Lebar towards Chai Chee and found ourselves at Dunman Road Food Centre. We were there to try the popular Frog's Leg porridge. I did not catch its name, but it is the only stall selling this and is located as a corner stall which is easy to locate. The stall has been reviewed by Bryan Wong I had wanted to try the famous Lau Hong Ser rojak while waiting, but the stall owner told me, "must one hour half other than" (direct translated from Mandarin), which left me confused and slightly disturbed, especially when he queried my race.

The porridge is thick and smooth. The consistency is perfect! The porridge tastes good itself already!

We ordered the 'Kung Pao" Frog Legs, which is frog legs simmered in a tasty and spicy heavy sauce, with dried chilli and chilli padi, topped with loads of spring onions.

Succulent frog legs with an excellent tender texture. The way to describe it is to relate it to the top muscle of the chicken drumstick, but much tender!

The way to eat it is to mix the heavy sauce into the porridge to add taste and flavor to the white porridge.
