This is a 4-Part Series of an alternative line-up of REVOLTECH MINIATURE. After the release of No.032 EVA-01 (New Movie Version), No.033 EVA-00 (New Movie Version) and EXTRA: Positron Rifle and ESV Shield, KAIYODO decided to release a mini series that is at half the price and of course half the size of regular REVOLTECH. Presently, this REVOLTECH MINIATURE series consists of 4 different smaller 'replica' of the big brother, but all of the EVANGELION 1:0 You Are (NOT) Alone, New Movie Version. I presently have 5 different EVA-01, REVOLTECH No.004 EVA-01, REVOLTECH No.032 EVA-01 (New Movie Version), SOC Expansion Tamashii SPEC XS-01 EVA-01, SOC Expansion Tamashii SPEC XS-03 EVA-01 (New Movie Version) and this, REVOLTECH MINIATURE EVA-01 (New Movie Version). See image below for the 4 different REVOLTECH MINIATURE figurines. I will review them in a clockwise sequence, starting with EVA-01.

The box layout looks similar to the regular-REVOLTECH.

But when comparing it to its big brother, No.032 EVA-01 (New Movie Version), size does matters!

Do not expect to have loads of customizing parts in the cheap REVOLTECH MINIATURE box. Included is one simple stand, a dagger and a left arm with wrist attached.

The REVOLTECH MINIATURE EVA-01 comes with 10 REVOLTECH JOINTS, elbows, shoulders, knees, ankles, neck and torso. The thigh rotates around the groin, like the rest of the REVOLTECH EVA. The shoulder pod swings about the REVOLTECH JOINT on the shoulder. Sadly, the wrist and fore-arm is in one piece.
REVOLTECH MINATURE EVA-01 (New Movie Version) compared to its old 'big brother', No.004 EVA-01. Despite the REVOLTECH MINIATURE EVA-01 being smaller, has a less flexible neck joint and non-mobile wrist, it can definitely match up to its 'big brother' in terms of poseability. It can be posed in many of my favourite cool poses. The REVOLTECH MINIATURE can definitely be a substitute for the regular REVOLTECH, if space and budget is an issue. Otherwise, be like me, and get all types!
