The very basic version of this spicy ramen just have soup and noodles. The taste of the soup reminds me of our "Bak Teng" or canned minced pork bean paste. I felt ripped off!

The soup has a strong seafood taste, and that is all about it. Definitely not a flavour I would remember, despite being a chef's recommendation.Verdict
Not entirely adulterated to meet Singaporean's taste buds. Ippudo stayed quite true to their authentic Japanese recipe. However, it is not something I find worth paying for, not to mention queuing. You can probably give it a miss and walk down to Orchard Ion's AOBA ramen, where you get more worth out of a similar price range.
