(iPad 2 does not come with a Panorama function, I used a 3rd-party app "Panorama" by Free the Apps)

Verdict
One significant difference in both camera is the angle of view. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 camera has a wider angle compared to that of iPad 2. Both cameras give usable pictures when resized, however, on close-up, the resolution difference is obvious. Pictures from the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is crisp, sharp and clear, while the pictures from iPad 2 appears slightly smudgy. Night shots from the iPad 2 should never be view close-up!
Galaxy Tab 10.1 allows you to go closer for a macro shot compared to the iPad 2.
The built-in Panorama feature in the stock camera app of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 clearly stitches the frames much more perfectly than the 3rd-party app on iPad 2.

The winner is clear! Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1!
