AF-S NIKKOR 24-85mm F/3.5-4.5G ED

AF-S NIKKOR 24-85mm F/3.5-4.5G ED
Price to be annouced

In conjunction with 70 million NIKKOR lenses production, one of the two latest addition to Nikon's arsenal of lenses is the AF-S NIKKOR 24-85mm F/3.5-4.5G ED. This compact piece of lens is set to replace your standard zoom kit lens for your FX body. Equipped with a variable aperture, this lens is definitely not going to replace your AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED, despite having a VR feature. The fact that the positioning of this lens seems to be an odd one as most FX body users will be able to afford the fast standard zoom than to go with a variable aperture standard zoom lens. However, if size, weight and VR is going to be a reason for you to score the AF-S NIKKOR 24-85mm F/3.5-4.5G ED, this lens will fit your bill. Not to forget that as with most NIKKOR lenses, this lens comes with SWM (Silent Wave Motor) as well as M/A focus selector switch.
